January 2, 2016 - Double decanted and subsequently slow-ox for 6 h. Ripe cherries, toast and vanilla at the nose. Deep and multilayered, but still appearing young and rather closed. Chewy on the palate, dark red fruit, a touch of acids and spicy secondary impressions that need more time to fully integrate. Savory, medium-full bodied, ending with lots of round tannins. Great balance and there definitely is a lot of depth and aging potential. Excellent wine. Looking forward to trying this again in 5-10 years.
