  January 2, 2016 - Inky black with a ruby rim. Leafy undergrowth, mushrooms, coffee, sarsaparilla nose. Starts with almost enough dark plum and cherry fruit, mocha, and ripe acidity to balance the gripping tannins. Maybe too much oak for this vintage but definitely a powerhouse.
