Community Tasting Note

  • BradboBaggins Does not like this wine: 88 points

January 4, 2016 - This score is partially reflective of my own preferences, which don't at all match the Booker style, apparently.

Decanted 3 hours, this wine is inky inky black, putting many young Vintage Ports to shame, even.

Nose is rich sweet pie filling black fruits, with the palate being more of the same, with a decided sweetness of fruit, to the point where there was obviously a later harvest style. One can't knock the overwhelming level of black and red fruits on the palate, but this is entirely a one trick pony. As I've noticed with other Booker wines, there is so much extraction and fruit that you're not really able to let it decant for more than 12-24 hrs, considering the psychological circuits

The wine is definitely. Cut above super market wines, but still doesn't reach the mid tier of quality, due to the monochromatic E base of operations.
