  December 28, 2015 - 7th of 12, decanted an hour, perfect cork and level, previous notes since 2006 from very good to fine - deepish garnet, lightening rim; cassis, some earth and tobacco, touch of iron, classy if not particularly complex; medium/full bodied, decent length and persistence, acidity and balance, sweetish mid palate, just a bit disjointed and simple, seems ready but no rush.......a good example of a wine technically very good indeed but not really delivering on pleasure (17/20). it may simply need more time as Calon can take ages before it really shows, as demonstrated by an ullaged 82 this year which was a good step up on many previous bottles.
