    February 25, 2016 - My rating may seem a bit high, perhaps due to my lack of experience with Californian cabernets. But I do love this wine. Yes, berry attack, but strongly underlined with p√Ętisserie notes from chocolaty to caramel and sweetened whipped double cream. Soft tannins, well made, alcohol is not overpowering at all. I would like to drink all my bottles now. But then again, I'm curious as to how this might develop. Any ideas, fellas?

    2/25/16, 6:07 AM - Mikita77, I highly recommend drinking the 2012 Caymus within the next 3 or so years while the fruit is still in command as the secondary flavors are generally not as attractive due to the lack of acidity, tannin and structure.

    2/25/16, 6:55 AM - Depends on the number of bottles you have. My plan is to drink a third of mine next year, a third in 2019 and a third in 2022. I agree that the wine will probably change more than we might normally expect from a Caymus Cab, but I don't think the change will be negative. For me, it is a tad jammy at this time. I am looking forward to the changes to see how much we 'armchair quarterbacks' get surprised.
