March 18, 2016 - We finally returned home after 70+ days overseas, and we thought our first Kistler Chardonnay of 2016 was in order. Perhaps the longest we ever have gone without a bottle of, from our perspective, one of the world's greatest Chardonnays. Barely legal, toasty-creamy-oak streams from her pores like a boutique bakery around 5am as the croissants and creamy dahlins' prepare for the morning devotees. Purity by definition. She is broad-shouldered, oaky and luscious, if not lascivious, creamy vanilla on the palate. The Forbidden Fruit or The Nectar of the Gods...take your pick...this is a wow!

3/14/17, 12:40 AM - I can't believe that someone used Lascivious to describe a wine. I believe the female goddess energy is an apt description as much as the male machismo serves at times. You hit it square with this wine. It is drinking even better now. I cooked a special meal for my daughter who got a glowing review and big raise today. She had a choice and wanted Kistler, I had a choice and picked the 12 Dutton. we stayed with Kistler for red as well with a 10 Natalie Silver belt. We did waygu with truffle butter and Shrimp in garlic butter(splash of Kistler) with a lilikoi, orange, lemon reduction for a glaze. The Dutton held its own up against the beef and matched well with the shrimp. This was a great parallel for Brenna as she is a superstar in a male dominated industry. Lascivious? I wouldn't go there, she is my daughter, but she might go there and kick you in the ass along the way.
I think aI may have to follow you if only for this review

3/14/17, 2:53 AM - Nice! Great food, excellent wine and exceptional occasion and great to hear we are fixing for an arse kicking ;-). We are nothing, if not willing to admit we may experience inspiration in words that may result in unintended consequences. We imagine you have not seen our references to The Siren Song? Oooweebaby! Mucho-congrats to your daughter!!! We look forward to dancing with you going forward!
