October 8, 2015 - That was an exagerated , unreal, overwhelming powerful wine. It was the best Languedoc wine I have ever tried. Decanted for 2 hrs and used syrah/shiraz shaped glasses. How come that a Languedoc Syrah could be that strong and concentrated, even stronger than many Barossa centinarious vine shiraz? The colour of this wine was inky purple, with nearly no transparency, and thick sticky tears. The nose was so powerful that, could say nearly agressive. In the wave of aromas I could find canned cherries, creme de cassis, black olives, classic Languedoc "garrigue" noses, minerality, coconut(came from the oak), violet and a lot of black peppers. The palate was big and bald and full-bodied, with very high-toned acidity to balance the huge body, making it a unforgettable wine. The 15.5% alc didn't show burning sensations, a very well made wine, can't imagine how good it could be in next two decades of time.
