November 14, 2015 - Tasted during the Biondi-Santi wine dinner @GZ Ritz-Carlton. Decanted 4 hrs in Riedel decanter, still a little bit descret when tasting. In glasses it showed seemless sour cherries (an elegant expression, not like cheap Chianti table wines), a lot of floral nose, spiciness ( Sichuan pepper and nutmeg), graphite and sous-bois. The aromas were so ethereal that everybody was fascinated. The palate was even more descret than the nose, showing firm and nervous tannins, and of course very high acidities. Can't imagine a 18-year-old wine could be in that youthful. Should wait for at lease two decates to see its best.
