  April 18, 2016 - Beautiful clear ruby in the bottle, but it didn't survive the journey and subsequent decant — very finely muddy and almost completely opaque. Nose is a bit muddy and diffuse but still gives a good account of what it should have been. The palate however, is a muddy mess. Such a shame as there's clearly a lovely wine underneath the sludge.

  4/19/16, 1:47 AM - I have also learned the hard way to decant the bottle at home in advance or ship it well beforehand when dealing with older wines. Such a pity has it been to pour a muddy wine which originally had a beatuful clear colour.
