  April 17, 2016 - Opened and poured, this wine gave a good to very good showing. The aromatics show youthful dark fruits with some subtle spice and earth notes. The bouquet seems slightly one dimensional and lacking finer detail. The color is a medium to dark, youthful ruby. The medium bodied palate shows good to very good overall balance with somewhat of a hollow feeling on the mid-palate. Based on this bottle, the wine seems to lack the charm and detail to give a more compelling showing.
