Community Tasting Note

May 3, 2016 - Wanted to like this wine more than I actually did. This wine stood out as intensely mineral and skewed toward plum and blueberry aromatics upon release, but now shows a touch of bitter Slavonian oak and a closed, non-expressive generic red fruit. Layered, sweet and perfumed dark cherry fruit is lurking deep in the background. Needs time for the wood to integrate fully.

5/3/16, 12:55 PM - I have to imagine that is what you expected? All indications point to most 2010 brunello's needing at least 10 years time, I am assuming that you just wanted to taste the vintage and figure that for yourself?

5/4/16, 1:48 AM - Thanks for your note and rating. Your description is instructive. We tried ten 2010s, bought several of all and decided to hide in our cellar until circa 2020. We join TightLettuce on that front. Having said that, we also think it is great you tend to enjoy them young as well! The fun of wine!
