May 3, 2016 - Clear dark purple in colour. Clean nose of black fruit, vanilla and floral. Dry, med+ body, smooth tannins, med acidity, blackberry, violet, dark chocolate, and vanilla on palate. med+ finish. Great wine. Very big, but lots going on and for a BC very impressive. Will buy more.

5/5/16, 5:56 PM - I thought their wine was simply called One Faith? They must have another now (Certitude). How much is it? The One Faith is about $165 or something.

5/5/16, 6:02 PM - Ah, found it on everything wine ($49). It says Time One Faith. I wonder if Harry McWatters and Bill Lui are in cahoots? Harry made a comment about the price etc. on an old post about One Faith on John Schreiner's blog. I refuse to pay over $60 for BC wine. If Oculus was still $70, I might budge, but not at $110. LaStella Maestoso....not worth $100. There's some great stuff for $30-50. Laughing Stock, Van Westin, Poplar Grove Legacy.

5/6/16, 9:44 AM - The Certitude is a very nice wine, and I would have to say it is worth the price. However, I am not sure you will love its style. I remember your comment on Two Hoots, and this is a big wine. Price on wine is a tricky thing. I enjoy a Osoyoos Larose or Laughing Stock as much as the Oculus. Yes Oculus has some interesting things going on, but does that justify the additional $50? I don't think so. If you like big California wines you will like the One Faith wines, and they are comparable, but if it was coming from California it could be twice the price. I almost like the Certitude as much as the Grand Vin, and at $49 it is a better price. But be warned it is big and jammy, and may not be your cup of tea ... but always worth trying once. Love to hear your thoughts.

5/6/16, 4:47 PM - Actually it sounds as though I'd like it. If I'm going for big, it's welcome. Sometimes though it's a bit shocking, for example the last Burrowing Owl Pinot I had that might as well have been the Meritage. I occasionally enjoy a Mollydooker like Blue Eyed Boy, or Bella's Garden (Two Hands), but I expect big. I have a Grand Vin in my fridge (2009) and will consider it soon. I'll have to make a trip out to EW and grab a Certitude, but I'll have it beside another biggie, a 2009 Painted Rock Red Icon perhaps! I'll be sure to let you know what I think.
