June 13, 2016 - WOW… this has more elderflower on the nose than any sauvignon blanc I’ve ever had—it IS liquid St. Germaine! Wait… well you know what I mean. Supported by a deep core of gooseberry, tangerine, smoky gun powder with chalky pink limestone minerality and medium acidity. This is fully ripened, super-heady sauvignon blanc from 100+ year-old vines as confirmed by the slightly higher alcohol and deep gold color (yet all tank and no malo). The acidity was balanced at opening making for a wonderful experince but faded after a few hours which softened the wine considerably, so I'd say plan on finishing it before calling it a night.
