Community Tasting Note

June 23, 2016 - A Pegau vertical (and a Foreau) (My Home): Perhaps it didn't live up to the hype (RP98) but it also wan't obvious as an 03. Perhaps at this point in its life, the vagaries of the vintage are not as blatant. Whether that is good or bad is up to you. Purple/ruby in color. The nose has dark cherries and spice. Clean. On the palate, layers of complexity. Plenty of fruit. Mild tannins. Seems to be getting to peak but a long life ahead.

6/26/16, 2:36 AM - thanks for your note...I must confess I looked at your story and am moderately seething with jealousy! Just a quick question in regard to the vertical - how do you handle a blind tasting in that scenario? cheers, chatters
