June 24, 2016 - A private tasting (67 Pall Mall, London, UK): Tasted blind. From magnum. A blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Sémillon; 10 months on the lees with bâtonnage (1/3 new oak); RS 6.2 g/l. Wonderfully floral and expressive, beautiful oak integration, complex notes of vanilla, vegetables and tropical fruit; the palate has broad shoulders but it is elegant too, lovely ripe fruit, perfectly seamless, very subtle phenolics; lovely resonance on the finish, very good length.

6/25/16, 9:36 PM - Thanks for your note and rating. Great to read, particularly the broad shoulders coupled with elegance. We like to think of "Y" as Nicole Kidman like :-). We have yet to pop open our case of 2012, but your note is convincing. Patience is a tempting, mean-spirited virtue.
