  July 16, 2016 - A big big wine that needs air to open up.
  
  Not your typical napa cab with a beautiful nose of dark roasted plum, spices, earth, and bay leaf. Almost bordeaux-like.
  
  The palate is a little more reminiscent than the nose but still not an overripe, extracted fruit bomb. Well-balanced with good acidity and complexity. Would have never figured it was 100% cabernet. Seems to have all the components to be an amazing balanced wine but there is a good amount of heat that gets in the way slightly before the finish.
