  July 27, 2016 - This is the second of the three Syrahs from the Behrens & Hitchcock 2004 Syrah tasting lot I purchased. This is very different than the "Chien Lunatique" wine I reviews before. Color is a beautiful inky purple. The smell is more woody, think more of a cedar/oak mix. The flavor is very mellowed out fruit with smoke/bbq profiles. Loving the aging on this wine, but would drink soon as it's getting close to its ideal drinking time in my mind.
