July 31, 2016 - These have been cellared since release. Finally decided it was time to try one. I am not usually a huge Dunn fan. But this was the best Dunn that I have had to date. Fruits were bigger, wine had great balance and I did not get all of that Old World funk that I have gotten with a lot of older Dunn's. Good stuff.

10/20/16, 7:15 AM - I agree. I have had most Dunn HM vintages back to 1997. I know there is a cult like following of folks that love that Old World style of Randy's wines and their age-ability. I got sucked into buying many vintages and into trying to love his style/wines too as I figured I must be missing something and the wine would grow on me. It did not and I finally decided this is just not my style. I have now stopped buying and 2008 is the last vintage I acquired. However, the 2008 was more true to what I love about Howell Mountain wines in the "Napa Style". If I read reviews that his current wines are more in the style of this 2008, I may start buying again!
