  January 14, 2008 - I really enjoyed this wine. Smooth integrated tannins and medium bodied with good balance and a nice mouth feel. A bit more fruit than acidity but that's to be expected from a Cali pinot. Smokey cherry and red fruits on the palate with just a little pinot funk. Great length. I've had this in the cellar for about a year and it has really come together in that time. I think it can hold another 2-3 more..I need to find some more. At first I thought I opened a Keefer Ranch but the smokiness made me go back and check the bottle. Sangiacomo fruit is really one of my favorite Californian vineyards as it is quite distinctive.
