  September 4, 2016 - Nose immediately scream pinot with funk, tart red berries, rounded off with an almost pine sap fresh meat character. With some air, the florals become to come through with a hint of ashtray (in a good way?).
  
  This is not a medium to lighter bodied pinot and leans more toward the elegant style. Very well balanced with acidity, green herb notes and tart berries.
  
  I usually avoid California Pinots because they tend to be over-ripe and fruit bombs. But the green characteristics and the balance really surprised me.
