Community Tasting Note

  • Matt Scott Likes this wine: 98 points

September 24, 2016 - Enjoyed at Willi's Wine Bar in Sonoma County. Decadent and still loaded with chocolate, noir fruit and earthy elements. Exceptionally long and mesmerizing, with barely a sign of age. See previous notes. This was consumed with the '96. Drink now -.

12/25/16, 1:28 PM - Hello and thanks for all your tasting notes. Two questions please. One. How long did you decant the 2003 Cos? Second. Any red bottle that you've tried this year screamed great QPR? Thanks again.

12/26/16, 10:57 AM - Thank you! It has been my pleasure...believe me.

The Cos was decanted for an hour.

Two values that come to mind, focusing on California: Banshee '14 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, '14 Seghesio Sonoma County Zinfandel and '13 Black Stallion Napa Cabernet (92 points; note still needs to be loaded).

12/26/16, 11:03 AM - Thank you so much Scott. I was thinking of higher caliber QPR. I like red Bordeaux as well. So I am looking for good QPR Bordeaux if you know of any. Thanks again.
