October 4, 2016 - Very surprised and pleased with this wine. A really good, inexpensive, well balanced, mature and at our acquisition cost an outstanding QPR daily drinker Spanish red blend from the Zaragoza region of NE Spain. Interesting blend - 70% garnacha, 20% syrah and 10% cab. 1st glass out of the bottle already pretty smooth but it will benefit from a short 30-60 minute decant. With proper cellaring still has a good 3-5 years to go. Deep purple, great soft mouth feel, well balanced, medium - full bodied with a lovely lingering aftertaste. Nose somewhat muted and balancedwith dark fruit, spices, smoke and more white then black pepper. Flavor profile of dark cherry, dark berries and balanced oak up front with cooking spices and gamey grilled meat and smoke on the finish. Highly recommend this wine.
