October 2, 2016 - Meo Camuzet, Clos Vougeot 2002 - again opening another bottle just to find that the wine is way too young. Everything in this wine is intense. Nose that explodes with red fruits, rich spice and earthy. The palate is rich, velvety, rounded where I believe we should find a little more acidity but nothing that compromises the outstanding wine quality

10/13/16, 12:41 PM - Thanks, great comment. 90 points and outstandig - hmm. I agree with outstanding, but 90?? Did you decant the wine or give him air for many hours in the bottle? For me 2002 is maybe the greatest Clos Vougeot from this domaine ever

10/13/16, 12:46 PM - Hi MQuentel, thanks for your comment. Actually I found this bottle to be very flabby, losen on the mid palate. Very rich, intense and fine, but it missed more continuity. Maybe a strange fase or problem with the bottle, as you can see I scored the bottle on March 13th, 95 points. Cheers!
