October 28, 2016 - A really good, now approachable and great QPR entry level chablis chardonnay from quite a reputable producer. A very good QPR wine with enough structure and acidity left for aging several more years under proper cellaring conditions - expect some improvement with increased cohesion and further softening of acids. Clear, light yellow, acidic and well structured but also now controlled and quite balanced and approachable. Nose bright, saline and almost effervescent with white pear and green apple. Primary flavors included riper pear, warmer yellow apple and a very interesting hint of what having grown up in Asia I can best describe as green but ripening guava, the big kind. Definitely recommend this wine.
