  November 25, 2016 - I was torn by this bottle. At first I was really happy, finding it moderate in scope with basic Pinot notes of tea leaf and cherry but also a larger Cali presence. However, there was some debate about TCA and the longer it remained open the more it seemed there was indeed low levels of TCA in the wine. 91 to begin 80 with TCA and I'll go 84 as an average based on the overall experience.

  11/25/16, 3:02 PM - A: the TCA was subtle, some discussion on how much it was there and subtle enough most still enjoyed.
  B: wines with flaws deserve marked down scores. I disagree with the idea of excluding flawed wines from scoring when the "score" is the driver most people use for determining quality in CT

  11/25/16, 3:10 PM - You're certainly free to do that. The way I look at it is, the TCA flaw isn't inherent to the wine itself anymore that had the wine been cooked in a microwave prior to experiencing it.

  11/25/16, 5:52 PM - When wineries start replacing their product impacted by TCA I'll stop considering it an intentional defect. No industry that I can think of could survive this level of intentional defect, we winos are just too stupid and rich to make a deal about it. For the lists I'm on who replace TCA wines (Ridge, Turley among others) I check flawed/replaced.
