  December 24, 2016 - I've had a few of these from different vintages now, and have some themes that stand out. The structure is very, very well built--resolved tannins with some age, but the roundness and velvety mouthfeel are what stand out. On the downside, these wines are always too hot. Too much alcohol distracts from the nuances of the grapes and makes it harder to appreciate. Overall, still a 90+ point wine for the overall quality, but lacks the restraint/finesse of a winemaker striving for more balance and nuance.
