December 26, 2016 - Day one there was a harsh edge and a green tone which I have never found in any vintage. Day 2: WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Exactly what I originally hoped for, classic napa can with a great QPR. This wine demands to be decanting. Don't pop and pour unless you want to be disappointed.

12/26/16, 11:59 PM - Thanks so much, that was exactly what i tasted on the PnP.

We had a bottle about a month ago, and it seemed to be a bit harsh on the tannins with a substantial green element, just seemed to be a bit disjointed - but thought it might just be the bottle shock - he had opened the bottle just a few days after shipment.

As you mentioned, I can't think of any of Mike's wines having that sharp edge out of the gate, and with the two hours, it never seemed to blow off in glass. Seemed to have all the components, just not in line.

How long would you estimate for a decant?? Thanks!
