January 24, 2017 - Had the DM Lavaux 2002 several times and it really never fails to deliver. Multi-dimensional wine with incredible depth. Fantastic nose of flower shop, ripe cherries, cedar, and wet dirt/earth. Very classic Gevrey-Chambertin. On the palate it is full-bodied and ethereal at the same time, offering up generous components of dark cherries, sweet eucalyptus, cedar, saddle leather and a hint of well-integrated oak (all wines prior to 2005 see 100% new oak). Incredible balance, juicy and long finish. One of my favorite wines from Mortet: more open and accessible than the legendary 2005, and more powerful than both the 2000 and 2003. Fabulous stuff! 96+
