February 1, 2017 - Nose is still unfolding after an hour in the decanter. Ever so slightly reduced on the nose, but this is classic Barolo filled with pine resin, pressed flowers, sous bois and smoky oak with just a hint of vanilla. Medium-full bodied and very dense. Still plenty of tannin and just a tad bit austere. Given the level of acidity, this should still have a long future ahead of it. These wines are always incredible values for Barolo which explains why I have so many in my cellar! Drink 2017-2026 93
