March 5, 2017 - Concentrated and rich dark berries with some blueberry on the nose. Only just starting to evolve but it is together and balance is spot on. Savoury mouth filling wine for the long haul. Give 5 years. 95.

3/5/17, 5:17 PM - I had a bottle on Friday and mostly agree with your review. It is a very good medium bodied wine, but I'd be interested to see where it goes over the next five years. I'm finding 2010 in SE Australia a bit overrated. The wines promised a lot when young, but just don't seem to be following through.

3/5/17, 6:11 PM - Julian, as a general comment you may be right but I think this wine in particular is evolving very well. I would say for me that it is really quite full bodied, but more refined and less flabby than some others from that part of Australia. It has all the ingredients for it to evolve for some time to come (including screwcap), so I don't see a problem in terms of improving for at least another 5 years. 2006 Simpatico is drinking fantastically at the moment BTW.
