  April 18, 2017 - Coravin glass with Omaha Steaks dinner. Wow that was good. Sort of wishing opened up the whole bottle since now I have to worry that it will be as good next time around. Got even better as I drank this. I'm having trouble describing this which is why I think it was so great. Not really that big (Bevan 2014 pinots are crazy dark beasts) and it's dark fruited but again not that dark and not going towards syrah / cab. It's certainly not cherry or strawberry so what the heck is it. Almost has a full cluster type of nose with spices and pepper and some cedar all mixed in. Just a really fun wine. Wife seconded the opinion. Might be a 95 but let's wait for the rest.

  4/18/17, 9:52 PM - Something about the 2012 and 2013 Wren Hop Pinots. Really interesting stuff. The Mortal Coil, Daughters of Earth, and Architects & Saboteurs are really unique wines!
