May 13, 2017 - Twist and pour and followed over the course of two days while the bottle was opened in the wine cellar.
The nose at first is funky. Manure and wet earth masking any fruit. That blows away with some time. Wine is a bit rustic, showing that wet earth/ fresh manure note along with ripe blackberries. Improved on the second day to show a savory side of brown spices to go with the ripe black and red fruits.

AP Vin makes a great Pinot with exotic flavors and fruit forward expression. While on there face, "manure" and "funky" are perhaps avoidable expressions, I tend to look at them as quite expressive and perhaps desirable. So while I do agree with your notes and look at those flavors as positive I knew d of thought your posting was negative.

Bravo on the writing but not so bravo on the your score. Nevertheless I am always appreciative of postings with unique notes. Thanks
