  May 21, 2017 - Color: dark ruby core -> medium-deep magenta rim. Slightly reduced bouquet showing rubber, black cherries and a bit of minerals and underbrush. Palate still showing some tanninc clout (it is only a '13 after all), black fruit, nice acidity and a reasonable finish. I appreciate what Nanda noted; not particularly complex -- reminiscent of a Paso wine -- though certainly well made and quaffable to my mind. Probably needs about 2 more years to knit itself together and shed some tannins (& maybe gain more complexity?). Nowhere near the Parkerland points though.
