June 12, 2017 - A bottle with a worn and damaged label purchased from Liquor World in Franklin MA for a suspiciously low price. Suspicions were confirmed. Far too brown in colour for a ten year old wine. Notwithstanding a lengthy decant, wine had a brief but musty nose, and little on the palate save acid. Wine was, I fear, heat or cold tainted prior to purchase.

6/12/17, 9:15 PM - That's exactly where my bottles came from and I remember exactly what you describe: labels were shredded and badly torn, some bottles showed seepage and overall conditions left a lot to be desired. I picked what seemed like the best bottles and so far the two I have tried have been (lucky for me) fine. Based on your note, I will certainly try my next bottle sooner than originally planned. Acceptable label or not, I suspect you are exactly right and there were some preexisting issues. Sorry your bottle turned out so poorly.
