June 17, 2017 - I have read about the "Barolo wars" and this, I think, is a perfect example of the winners of that war. Reduced maceration and reduced time in the oak has softened the tannins almost to the point of elimination. Gobs of soft, sweet red fruit but I can't find anything else. This is the opposite of Terroir. If I drank this blind I couldn't come close to the grape or even Country. But looking at over 100 reviews the CT reviewers almost universally loved it.

6/17/17, 10:33 AM - It seems like no matter the wine there are a horde of people who equate tannin with 'bad' so any wine with soft or non-existent tannin must be good.
