  March 9, 2008 - We opened this bottle, along with the 2003 Joseph Swan Trenton Estate Syrah, as part of the FMIII virtual syrah tasting and paired with barbeque chicken and ribs from the smoker on a gorgeous Spring-like day. Wonderful expressive bouquet. As I swirled my glass, I can’t explain the aromas any better than I felt as if I were transported to the RRV, sitting in a rustic tasting room … if that makes any sense at all. Dark cherries and blackberries with smoke and mushrooms on the palate with a kick of acidity on the finish. Very nice.
