  July 23, 2017 - Very interesting wine. Decanted for an hour before pairing this wine with grllled sausages. Dark, brooding red garnet color. Thick legs. Nose of peppercorns olive tapenade, blackberry, herbs, and tar, bacon. On the palate, more of the same, with a little heat. Not as balanced as I hoped. That being said, this is a spicy wine perfectly suited for dinner off the grill. 20-30 second finish.... very well made wine for the money... after 2 hrs in the decanter, more red fruits came alive and a bit of gritty woodiness. my wife thinks this will easily age another 5-10 years... 91-92 pts?
