  August 13, 2017 - Drank with friends at a local French restaurant after a splash decant. Fully mature at age 34 with minimal sediment, this 'Californian vintage' example lacked the power, depth and lusciousness when the wine was younger. Years of terrific drinking still ahead and nowhere near decline.
  If a date, this was a 30 year old MBA executive whose beauty is overshadowed by her only wanting to talk about her wish list Porsche. Good but not the stunner it once was.
