  August 18, 2017 - A pretty ruby with a slightly purple hue. Nose is fruity dominated by blackberry with some sous bois and a nice, fresh herbal streak (eucalyptus?). The blackberry carries on to the palate along with black pepper and the aforementioned herbs which are never green or intrusive but only fresh and cleansing. Tannins are there but overall balance is very good. A burgundy drinker's syrah without being overly lean or acidic.
