August 20, 2017 - Purchased on release and buried in the back of a crowded cellar- up from the basement and in great shape. I drank the others 2007-2008 so this wine 10 years on is finally (almost) mature. Pastrami, iron, blood, a bit of pine tar, blackberries, and a touch of herbs and spice (cloves, sage and cinnamon)... cool climate syrah at its best- still slightly too much acid, big tannins tempered somewhat by time, this is a real winner...
