August 12, 2017 - Hanzell Visit and Tasting (Hanzell Estate Sonoma California): A pale yellow colored wine, which was made from chardonnay planted in 1972. Only 25% malolactic fermentation. A single vineyard offering that is spectacular on the nose and the palate! A very fragrant nose that provided scents of peach, pear, and minerals. A beautiful nose! The taste provided a wonderful balance of acidity and mouth feel. Very pronounced flavors of peach, pear, other green fruits, some minerality. A long finish! Awesome wine that can age another 10 years. Very impressionable! Score 95
