  March 24, 2017 - This is one of the finest Nickel and Nickel cabernets I have had. I think this wine was just drinking at its prime. For us non-science folk, Element 28 is... you guessed it, Nickel. The cabernet has a really rich redness- think a ruby/blood like hue. The smell has tones of leather, tobacco, as well as an earthiness. The flavor profile is very focused fruit. Clearly a younger cab at this stage, it could mature a bit. The tannins/acidity were definitely there, but a very good showcase of how Darice Spinelli show cases the winery's single vineyard ethos.
