October 1, 2017 - I had great hopes for this Chardonnay, since it is one of the benchmarks for this varietal in Australia, and definitely was not disappointed! It is ready to be drunk now with very little decanting, but still has a long life ahead of it if one wants to cellar it.

Immediately after opening the bottle, one could already sense its expressive notes of lychee, lime, avocado and green apple on the nose. But on the palate it was even better, with its 14% structure well hidden by its nice structure, delivering notes of pineapple, green apple, a bit of vanilla and lime. It also boasts a long finish, which fills your mouth for 30+seconds.

In short, if you enjoy colder-weather Chardonnay, this one's for you - it's not a creamy, oak-dominated beast, being instead very refreshing and balanced. A great QPR - it's a wine worth seeking out. 94+ pts.

10/9/17, 7:16 PM - Funny - I was sure I had typed 94. I've corrected that field to reflect the grade I gave it. Thanks.
