  October 10, 2017 - Blood-red with a little cherry fade at the edge. Best part is pure typical Chambolle pleasure--red verbena-clove-umami nose, witih outstanding lusciousness and typicity. Why would you want to pay this kind of money for a Village Chambolle? Taste it, baby, and enjoy. One of those relatively simple red burgs whose strong suit is luscious and lovely, and who cares if it's perfectly bright? Ahhhhh....don't sip it, swill it down! Liquescent and with orange-oil infusion, causing a river of appetizing anticipation for the food--Loup du Mer fish stew, something that surprises me to be seen on this side of the pond--its gooooood!! Bought a little too much for my Bouillabaise and got an extra potful out of it! Give it 2017-2020+ years.
