  October 27, 2017 - Very dark in the glass
  
  Nose is like a slightly ripe left bank bordeaux. Slight forest floor, rosemary, dark cherries, dark raspberries, suede, and bbq meat.
  
  Good structure on the palate, with medium+ tannins and good balancing acid to round out the mouthfeel. Dark chocolate, espresso beans, dark plums, dark raspberries, and something slightly herbal and savory. Hides its alcohol well.
  
  Still very young and will get better with age. Very happy that California can still make big wines that are still well balanced.
