    July 6, 2017 - Midweek with the GMs: Dark coloured but has good aromatics - floral, orange, apricot and fig. Reasonably honeyed on the palate, showing some age, but has the acidity kick through to perks things up. This bottle needed drinking now.

    10/28/17, 6:37 AM - There seem to be a few premox issues with Trimbach around the late 90s and early 2000s, this bottle may have been a somewhat mild case of that, it still had good acid but the fruit profile was rounding out quite a bit and the dark colour was a bit concerning, enough so that I wouldn't have wanted to risk another 5 years with this particular bottle. Also possible that it had seen sub-optimal storage at some point rather than being premox related.
