November 8, 2017 - The wine was medium to dark ruby in colour and showed plenty of oak, red and dark fruit, chocolate, cocoa, spice, vanilla, coconut and smoke on the nose. On the palate, the wine showed red and dark fruit, sweet oak, dark chocolate, cocoa, vanilla and coconut, with medium-level acidity and tannin, a creamy mouthfeel and very good length. The medium-bodied, ripe and oaky wine benefited from aeration, but the oak was very dominant at the wine’s current stage and I will hold on to my other bottles for a while to see how the wine develops.

11/28/17, 10:56 PM - Well, I just checked, and the google translation of what I said is really bad. It's ok for Patrick's answer. I said I found that the 2008 entered the optimal drinking window this year and that this all too oaky vanilla sauce had transformed into delight. So if the 2010 is similar in that regard, he might try again in 2019.

11/28/17, 11:44 PM - Thanks, yes the Google translation was quite odd! I guess I could have deciphered the gist had I been more diligent (which may have prevented my opening my only bottle tonight!) Oh well, its all an education.
