November 17, 2017 - Penfolds Grange vertical with Peter Gago (Singapore): I attended a Penfolds re-corking clinic, overseen by Chief winemaker Peter Gago, where they refilled my old bottles. They used the 2013 vintage as a refilling wine (I guess everybody was averaging up that day). I was able to taste my own bottle before they re-filled it because Peter was so kind to leave me a bit of the certifying portion.
TN: Remarkable youthful aroma and structure, lots of live left. Dark fruit, well integrated tannins, classic SA terroir notes. A much stronger showing than the WA scores suggest.6,588 views
