December 12, 2017 - Acker BYO 2017 (Tribeca Grille): Hello lovely! Came across this towards the end of the night when the organizer noted that all bottles were open bottles so brought it back to the table to share. This was great. Very mature and in a good spot. Nice balance between the fruit and more secondary and tertiary. Nice weight. Despite it's third growth designation (which was clearly pointed out to us at an event where we brought some Palmer), I've always been a fan.

5/16/18, 5:38 PM - I find it interesting that someone 'clearly pointed out' that Palmer is a third growth when you brought a bottle to an event. If they were insinuating that you didn't bring a good enough wine (because it is a third growth), this is obnoxious and they are clearly ignorant about the quality of this producer. I've always been a fan as well.

5/17/18, 5:37 AM - Me too! He was pretty wine knowledgeable (former wine director for Berns in Tampa). When he gave the comments to the table on the Palmer we brought he was clear about where the wine was classified and made no mention that perhaps the trajectory had trended up from 1855. No harm, no foul. Makes for a funny story and we like to point out when we drink Palmer that it is indeed a third growth.
