Community Tasting Note

  • TomNichols Does not like this wine: 76 points

December 21, 2017 - I have been honored to share with others, many bottles of the great Caymus Special Reserve 1990, and Latour 1982. These wines were criticized in their youth as being "too fruity". I have enjoyed a few bottles of intense Belle Gloss. This wine, however, is definitely a disgrace to the family. It is only appropriate for pancakes. Five years from now, thirty years from now, it will only be for pancakes. Much better to invest in Vermont maple syrup. If you think this is Cabernet, you are the victim
    of fake news.

    12/23/17, 6:54 PM - Completely agree - it’s vanilla syrup.

3/5/18, 6:46 PM - My suggestion all all Caymus vintages 2012-15 is they should put it in 375's and sell it as a dessert wine. It is a total failure as anything else.
